Pram-fit programme
STARTING yesterday, Redditch Council's countryside centre will be hosting its new pram-fit programme aimed at single parents.
The activities are designed to get everyone involved including the youngest children and to encourage socialising with other parents in similar situations. The specially designed health programme combines cardio and static exercises to help tone and strengthen the body and will involve using the pram as a form of resistance.
Sessions take place every Tuesday and Wednesday, beginning on Tuesday, May 6 for 10 weeks.
The Tuesday meeting is reserved for SureStart users, but Wednesdays are open to everyone. Children must be aged between 0-18 months and parents are asked to supply their own pushchair.
Due to demand for the programme attendees will be required to book by phone one week in advance. Both fitness programmes run from 10.30-11.30am and will cost £3 per adult. For more details or to reserve a place, call Corinne on 07950 173719.
